Our momentum is greater than ever and, with your support, our potential is unlimited. Through a broad research agenda, diverse degree and certification programs, and inclusive learning environments we are poised to transform education. Our faculty and staff collaborate to challenge our students with aims at making a lasting impact and strengthening our society.

This fall we aim for new heights as the University of Florida continues to charge forward. Donor Spotlights

Drs. Beverly Tucker and Glenn Tucker Endowed Education Scholarship

Dr. Glenn Tucker (M.A.E. ’67, Ed.S. ’68 and Ph.D. ’69 Science Education) met his wife Beverly, a Special Education and Early Childhood Education graduate student, on the steps of Norman Hall. Together, they went on to share full, prosperous careers in education. To embody their shared love for the College of Education and to honor Beverly, who passed in 2006, Dr. Tucker established an endowed scholarship to support future early childhood educators, like her.

Jamee and Gilbert Miller Ed-Tech Learning Studio and Scholarship Endowment

Jamee (BAE ’01 M.Ed. ’02 Elementary Education) was the 2009 COE Outstanding Young Alumni award recipient. She and her husband Gilbert recently committed to create the Jamee and Gilbert Miller Ed-Tech Learning Studio in Norman Hall. Jamee and Gilbert have also established an endowment at the college to support graduate students in the ProTeach program whose concentration is Educational Technology.

Professor Mark Alan Koorland Scholarship

Mark Koorland’s legacy will live on. Mark, a triple Gator, earned his BAE in Education in 1970, M.Ed. in Education in 1972 and Ph.D. in Special Education in 1977. Ahead of his passing in December 2018, he and his wife, Vivian Fueyo, worked to establish the the Professor Mark Alan Koorland Scholarship to provide scholarships for graduate (Ph.D.) students in the College majoring in Special Education.
